Official Description from Amazon: After 17-year-old misfit Jones Dillon (Wood) drops out of college on his first day, he moves into an old apartment building where he soon becomes entangled in the lives of his kooky new neighbors, including a temperamental photographer (Potente) and a self-absorbed aspiring actress (Moore). When he's not busy flirting with the ladies or learning to live on his own, would-be writer Jones divides his time between fending off queries from his alcoholic mother (Perkins), penning letters to an absentee father, and indulging in an overactive fantasy life. An auto accident forces a reality check, however, nudging Jones to grow up & decide what he really wants.

Mandy Moore's Role: Mandy's follow up attempt after the critically acclaimed A Walk To Remember, featured an interesting concept. Mandy plays Jones Dillon's (Elijah Wood) neighbor, Lisa, an aspiring actress, who's a little too self-absorbed. Also in this apartment unit are a photographer, Jane (Franka Potente) and gay cowboy, Brad (Aaron Pearl). The movie is shown from Jones's point of view as he balances his troubled family with his quirky neighbors. However, after a traumatic incident, Jones finally realizes what he wants out of life.

It wasn't the greatest Romantic Comedy, but the movie does have it's moments. However, despite Elijah Wood's start power and Mandy Moore's rising stock, the movie didn't get much exposure. Despite the description of the plot, Mandye's role turns out to be pretty minor. She still manages to make an impact, just not one as big as we hoped. But if you're just looking to see how Mandy Moore performs post-Jamie Sullivan, you won't be disappointed.
